In the new Museum Voorlinden visitors will find something no other museum can offer: a unique combination of the largest collection of contemporary art in the Netherlands and a stunning natural backdrop.
The new museum is situated on the 99-acre Voorlinden Estate, and seamlessly blends into the landscape. The facades are made of natural stone the colour of dune sand with huge, floor-to-ceiling windows, giving visitors constant views on the natural landscape and the flower garden as they make their way through the museum. Find yourself eye to eye with 'Couple Under an Umbrella' by Ron Mueck or 'Skyspace' by James Turrell. The sculpture 'Open Ended' by the American artist Richard Serra is a particular highlight, weighing no less than 216 tonnes.
