From 29 September 2016 to 8 January 2017, the Mauritshuis presents a selection of 17th century Dutch paintings from the English Royal Collection. The selection contains representations of daily life as pictured by painters from the Dutch Golden Age. This is a special chance to view over 20 works that are rarely or never exhibited publicly.
The famous collection of the English Royal family, managed by Her Majesty the Queen Elisabeth II, contains unique highlights from the works of famous artists such as Gerard ter Borch, Pieter de Hooch and Jan Steen. An absolute highlight of the exhibition is Johannes Vermeer's The Music Lesson.
